Writing

1. Being Vincent

Ruchira Amare

Being Vincent is a compilation of Amare’s writing and a series of paintings exploring the way she see the world.

She reflects on the legacy of Vincent Van Gogh, discovering surprising correlations between her life and his and seeking to attain a new and hopeful perspective on life.

2. Sunflowers and Cashmere

Ruchira Amare

‘Sunflowers and Cashmere’ is a book of poems written by Ruchira Amare, inspired from her life, travels, experiences, surrounding as well as more emotional subjects like Germany, Fall, Friends, and other finer things in life that she cherishes.

She believes in Japanese ideology of simplicity when it comes to Poems and poetry writing. The poems use Japanese Haiku style and Tanka styles as well but in a freer form and contemporary way.

All artwork in the book is created by her and is watercolor painting. The book design and cover choices are also done by her as well as the placement and combination of artwork and poems.

She ends the book with a more hopeful and contemplative though on endings.
